Heavenly Touch

Please don't let the length be a turnoff...
I don't think anyone understands my obsession with the artistic aspect of life. I don't even know how to explain it myself. It's just this imagery that I see in everything, even the things you wouldn't imagine would have anything to do with art. It's just one of those things that gets the wheels in my head turning too quickly. But enough of my blabber:
You all need to go see Snow White and the Huntsman.
Let me begin, with the fact that at first, I thought it was just as ridiculous as any other movie that has been re-made and recreated way too many times. But it wasn't until I saw Florence's performance of Breath of Life that this movie really intrigued me.
For those who view life the way I do, here are the reasons I cannot wait to see this movie:

  • I am so fascinated by the cinematography, set design, directing, wardrobes, and all the other sorts of things that contribute to the image of this movie. It's beyond amazing. I am so in love. If I could marry this movie, I would be down on one knee before anyone could say "fairest one of all".
  • Charlize Theron. Must I speak any further? She has to be one the greatest actresses I have just discovered. You see her in all these movies acting as the btch, witch, mean girl, etc. and you would imagine that's exactly the kind of person she probably is, but it's no exaggeration when I say she's the complete opposite, and I love that I would never in my life guess that about her (because of her performances). But anyways, she's just brilliant. In addition to what I said before about the artistic aspect of this movie, my favorite scenes thus far (from what I've seen in the trailers at least) is the part where she, as the evil queen, bathes in milk. *gives a standing ovation to the director for that scene*
  • Lastly, like I mentioned before, I fell in love with this movie because I was looking up Florence's song. Let me begin by saying that Florence Welch's voice is one of the most spectacular voices I have ever heard, and what she does with it is even more amazing. Then tie her mysterious, fantasy voice into this trailer and you have yourself a winner. It's just so amazing. I have no other words to express my love for it. She makes this trailer looks so majestic, it's indescribable. the adrenaline she belts out in the beginning with the horses and the fighting is so magnificent that you have to wonder "Where has this voice been for every other medieval movie!?" and then the soft melody she produces just after that part (with the queen's bathe in milk...so incredible- the mix of Florence's voice & the serenity of the scene)... view "Breath of Life" now so that you may understand my infatuation.

For those who aren't as into depth as I am, and watch the movies because of the ratings Fandango gives it:
  • Once again, Charlize Theron. Do I need to say anymore?
  • Kristen Stewart: let me admit, I was hesitant at first because all I was imagining was Edward jumping from behind the evil queen yelling "I'm here to save you!" But I'm hoping that she pulls off a different aspect to her acting in this film. Plus, she steals RPattz accent for the movie, so I'm excited to see if it's going to be a hit or miss.
  • Chris Hemsworth. . . like, c'mon. Still not convinced? : He has an Australian accent. (if that, plus his gorgeous beauty doesn't win you over, I don't know what to say.)
I hope you enjoyed my review, and this is the one before the film has even been released! Can't wait to see what I write about afterwards. . .
Head over to http://xfinitytv.com/snowwhite to see an exclusive 5 minute trailer!! that'll definitely be convincing!

I hope the length of this post wasn't too much of a turnoff. whoopsies.

I can't wait until I once again have the privilege to just sit around and think.
I will soon. and then by then I'll post my summer 2012 to-do list.
